My Top 5 Recipes for Memorial Day Weekend

 1.  Red, White, and Blue Pie Pops - these are festive and delicious
We don’t really have anything planned this Memorial Day weekend, but Chris and I hope to enjoy a picnic and some bike riding together.  Here are a few recipes that would be great for a picnic, barbeque, or any get together for that matter.
 2.  Mexican Style Grilled Corn - These are always a hit and they epitomize summer for our family.
 3.  Cranberry-Lime Rosé Spritzer - during the warmer months my Rosé intake increases and this is my favorite way to enjoy it.
4.  Mamey, French Vanilla, and Passion Fruit Popsicles - these are the perfect way to cool off on a hot summer day.

5. Bacon and Blue Cheese Guacamole - every barbeque needs some guacamole.  Try this version for a new spin on a classic.

Eye Candy of The Week

{how awesome are these piñata cookies!?}
This weekend I have a couple of things planned – participating in the Revlon Run/Walk, attending my first high tea, enjoying some chips and guacamole and drinking homemade pink grapefruit margaritas. My little bottle of Patron Silver is ready and waiting. I leave you with some Cinco de Mayo inspiration via Pinterest.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Food Porn of The Week: Mexican Style Grilled Corn

I made Mexican style grilled corn for my husband's birthday this past weekend and it was a huge hit.  My inspiration was the awesome corn I buy whenever I go to Cafe Habana.  I didn't follow a recipe, I just put some mayo, butter, and cheese together and played with the amounts a bit.  Super healthy, I know!  The main ingredient for this recipe is Cotija cheese, but in a pinch you could substitute Parmesan.  Here is a recipe I found that may very well duplicate my results.  Just an FYI the squeeze of lime right before you eat it is key.
