Put Some Spring Into Your Step

Here's a little spring shoe inspiration. BTW, I think I may have died a little when I laid eyes on those pink Miu Miu's. I first saw them via Alexa Chung's twitter. Gorgeous!

MY DIY PROJECT: STUDDED CHUCKS

So, my next DIY project is studding an old pair of white low top Converse sneakers that I've had for what feels like forever, a la Christian Louboutin. I am kind of torn on what type of studs to buy. I am leaning more towards the ones pictured above with the Campbells soup can, but I would like to get different opinions. Let me know which one you like better in the comments section. Thanks!

Friday's Musical Selection

This Friday's musical selection is Rocket by Goldfrapp. Unfortunately those bastards at Youtube wouldn't let me embed the video to my blog : / Anywho, check out the video here. This song is stuck in my head. I think I am going to have to buy the new album on Tuesday.

I Heart Sunnies

Finally the rain has stopped! The sun is shining and I now need a cool new pair of sunglasses. The cat eye frame is going to be huge this season. I love, love, love the black pair at the very top. They are like a hardcore version of the cat eye, but of course they are sold out.
: ( I am hoping they will get restocked ASAP. All the sunnies pictured above are available at Nasty Gal.

In the Trenches

It has been raining in the NY/NJ area since Friday. On days like these your most stylish protection against the elements is a really great trench coat. The trench is a classic that never goes out of style. To check out some more trench coat options click here.

Ken and Barbie Have Gone Mad

The folks over at Sterling Cooper have gotten the Barbie treatment. Mattel is marketing these Mad Men dolls for adults through their Barbie Fashion Model Collection. At $74.95 a pop they better come with some martinis and and a pack of ciggs! I must say the Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) doll is in desperate need of some serious curves. They don't call her Va Va Voom for nothing.

Doesn't It Feel Good To Payless?

Can you believe these are from Payless? These shoes are a part of the Christian Siriano collection for Payless. For only $79.99 you get a pair of shoes that even Lady Gaga would be proud to wear. They are kind of crazy, but I think I kind of likey.

Long Live McQueen

Alexander McQueen's final collection has been shown to about a dozen people at a time in a salon in Paris over the past two days. The level of workmanship was intricate and awe inspiring. To quote Amy Larocca of NY Mag, The small collection served as an emotional reminder of what, exactly, the world will now miss. I couldn't have said it better myself. To read the full article click here. To see Alexander McQueen's last collection click here.

So Sad...

Corey Haim was found unresponsive at his Southern California apartment. He died of an accidental overdose. I'll always remember him for Lost Boys, Licence to Drive and Lucas. He was only 38 years old. So sad.

My Favorite Looks: Oscars 2010

I don't know if it was only me, but I wasn't super impressed with the dresses on last night's red carpet for the 2010 Oscars. Above are some of my favs. Carey Mulligan was my # 1 choice. The dress was gorgeous and she reminds me of a modern day Edie Sedgwick. Who was your favorite?
