DIY: Tribal Inspired Sandals

I was on the search for a new pair of flat sandals the other day. All the designs that caught my eye had some kind of decorative embellishment, that quite frankly I could have done myself and pay a fraction of the price. Enter this easy DIY. It is not a quick one, but watching TV shows on my DVR helped the time fly by. Here are the steps...
{materials: an old pair of sandals, embroidery floss, super glue, scissor (not pictured)}
{tie a small knot with the first color of embroidery floss}
{glue the knot to the sandal}
{wind around the sandal - knotting each new color to the next}
{end result}

  1. I totally need to do this to my new Steve Madden sandals since they have no wrapping on them and they cut in between my toes!
