The Heather Grey Tee

{Target tee, F21 skirt,bangles & sunnies, SoBella leaf bracelet c/o, Payless shoes, vintage bag}
Oh heather grey tee how I love thee. The hubbs thinks you look like a dingy old tee shirt, but he doesn't understand. From jeans and trousers to skirts and shorts you always come through. I'll always appreciate you for your simplicity, comfort, and ability to work with anything. Heather grey tee I truly love thee.

Peter Pan Syndrome

F21 blouse, jeans, bracelets, vintage bag, Guess shoes, Fossil watch
Lately anything with a Peter Pan collar calls my name - dresses, shirts, necklaces you name it. I couldn't say no to this blouse when I saw it online. I plan on tucking it into an old pair of wool J. Crew trousers as the weather gets a little cooler.

Channeling Colonel Sanders

photos by Christian Santiago
F21 blouse, jeans, earrings, and bracelet, Tobi sunnies, Baker's Shoes c/o
The thin black satin ribbon tie on this shirt instantly reminded me of Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame.  The Colonel definitely had the right idea.  This blouse is the perfect transitional piece for fall.  I can see myself pairing it with a leather skirt or a nice pair of menswear inspired trousers.

Skirting the Issue

Outfit and accessories - F21, Shoes - BCBGeneration
Sunday was H-O-T...HOT! Hair up and something easy, breezy to wear was a necessity. Enter the tube dress my sister-in-law gave me. It shrunk in the wash so with a little knotting action the makeshift maxi skirt was born. Wonder if I can transform the shrunken dress into anything else...

A Change of Pace

F21 jeans, blouse and necklace, shoes - Marshall's, Tobi sunnies
On Sunday Chris and I went out for a little soul food at this great restaurant in Jersey City called Soul Flavors.  I would usually wear sandals or flats, but I decided to switch it up with these red canvas platform pumps.  Not only did they add some height, but they were the perfect pop of color for a neutral outfit.

Great Minds Think Alike

Forever 21 top, purse, and bracelets, Hot Kiss jeans, BCBGeneration wedges, Fossil watch, Tobi ring, Beacon's Closet sunnies

I was contemplating purchasing this top when I first spotted it at Forever 21, but for whatever reason I let it go. My aunt ended up getting it for me as a birthday gift. I love the loose fit, cropped cut and Peter Pan collar made of crochet lace. I wore this out for brunch with my family, followed by a trip to the theatre to watch the new Spiderman movie. Random, but Emma Stone is a total friend in my head. Just love her!

This is the most comfy top ever.  Especially when the temperature is pushing 100 degrees!  Stay cool, people!

Decided to wear my DIY goodies this past Sunday. The slight touches of neon gave life to an otherwise neutral outfit. You can check out the blouse DIY here and the clutch DIY here.

Dreadlock Rasta

dress - Marshall's (old), DIY vest - vintage, DIY sandals, necklace & bracelets - F21, ring - Tobi, watch - Fossil
No, I'm not sporting dreadlocks, but I think this dress would be perfect for walking the beaches of Jamaica. Since it is a tube top my DIY jean vest made it work appropriate. The bright pops of color on this maxi always seem to brighten my day.

Groove is In The Heart

pants, necklace, ring - F21, shirt - Walmart, camisole - Arden B. shoes - Jessica Simpson, belt - vintage
When I put on these pants Chris (my husband) teased me by saying I looked like a member of Deee Lite. Well, I just took it as the ultimate compliment! I mean really how fabulous was Lady Miss Kier!? These palazzos may not be for everyone, but I really love them ; )
