The weather was pretty hot this weekend.  Chris and I decided to ride our bikes at the park.  All I had in mind was being super comfy and staying cool.  I found this romper at Marshall's for $14.99 and couldn't resist.  On this occasion I decided to pair it with an old pair of Chucks, but I can't wait to rock it with some embellished sandals or wedges and a few accessories.  We rode our bikes to a nearby Rita's for some frozen custard and Italian Ice to refresh ourselves.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Here's a sneak peek of Rodarte's MAC collection, which launches on September 15th. The collection is inspired by Mexico's colors and culture, and the products are named accordingly. For example, one pink blush is called Quinceañera.  There is also a nail polish color causing some controversy.

I think I am going to have to get my hands on that lip gloss.

Food Porn of The Week: Quickie Donut Holes w/Guava Dipping Sauce

This recipe is beyond easy.  All you really need is a container of buttermilk biscuit dough and some vegetable oil for frying.  I chose to make a guava dipping sauce, but you could use any jelly or jam you have on hand and just use a little water to thin it out. 

Here it goes:

Slice biscuit dough in quarters and roll into balls to form 24 donut holes. Working in batches, place donut holes in hot oil and fry until golden, about 6 to 8 minutes. To make guava dip place some sliced up guava paste in a bowl add a splash of water cover with a paper towel and microwave for about a minute.  Stir and add more water if needed until you get your desired consistency.  Sprinkle hot donuts with confectioners sugar.  Another great option would be to sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar.  

Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dessert.

This past weekend I paid a visit to the new Forever 21 flagship in Times Square.  I was avoiding going there for a while because I am not one for huge crowds and uncomfortable shopping experiences.  I was convinced that the four story, 90,000 square foot emporium o' goodies was going to give me an anxiety attack.  Luckily, it was not too crowded at all and the lines at the register were a breeze.   You could literally spend hours there because it's so huge.  It's almost a little overwhelming.  Here are a few shots I took before security came and rained on my parade.  Apparently you aren't allowed to take pictures.  Oopps! ; )

One Day at a Time

I call these my Valerie Bertinelli jeans.  Why you ask?  Because they remind me of something she would have worn when she was on the sitcom One Day at a Time.  Sometimes I need a break from my skinny jeans and these are perfect for those occasions.
