Food Porn of The Week: Nutter Butter Truffles

Peanut butter and chocolate has to be one of my favorite combinations EVER.  So, when I saw this recipe for Nutter Butter Truffles on Bakerella I had no choice, but to make them ASAP.  The beauty of this recipe is that there is no baking or measuring required at all.

The only ingredients you need are a package of Nutter Butter cookies, an 8oz bar of cream cheese and some chocolate bark.  I had semi sweet chocolate chips on hand so that is what I used instead.

These were pretty rich.  You can only eat about two or three.  I think next time I will try to mix in some actual peanut butter with the cream cheese.

NYC Summer Streets

Hi Everyone!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend!  Here are some photos from Summer Streets this weekend.  It was such a wonderful time, even if I am still a little sore from all the bike riding...

We rode our bikes from 56th and Park Ave all the way over the Brooklyn Bridge.  From Brooklyn we rode back to Central Park which was a killer, but I wouldn't change it for anything.  We had pleny of breaks in between.  It was a great day and great memories were made.

Locket Up

Ever since I was a little girl I loved lockets. I think it may have come from watching Annie about 5 million times. Creative Grove Artist Market

Last week my hubby, Chris was one of the participating artists in the Creative Grove Artist Market.  He along with other artists displayed their handmade works.  There was also live music, break dancing, and hoola hooping.

Food Porn of The Week: Cashew Chicken Lettuce Wraps

When making these I don't follow an actual recipe.  I just chop up some chicken tenderloins, season them up with some salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.  I then saute them up in a little vegetable oil...

I use a combination of Trader Joe's Soyaki, sweet chili sauce, a little srirachi, and a touch of sesame oil.  Sorry I don't have measurements.  I just combine them to my taste.  I add some lightly salted cashews for crunch.

I top them off with some chopped cucumber, broccoli slaw,edamame, and sesame seeds.

Why Does it Always Fly By...

...the weekend that is!  It literally is over in the blink of an eye.  I had a pretty good weekend.  I hope you did too.  Here are a few pics of my Saturday morning...
